The ATL....

The aftermath of a road trip is never pretty, but the trip itself (mostly business related) was quite productive!
We proceeded directly to ADAC (The Atlanta Decorative Arts Center), beginning three days of intense "to the trade" shopping to restock the library for @homewithdt as well as finishing up work on a large project we have been commissioned to do for the husband of a childhood friend.  When I say it was an intense three days of shopping/scouting for products I am quite serious.  The back of the wagon looked like a showroom itself!
With day one under our belts, we safely installed ourselves into The Ritz in Buckhead for a much needed cocktail!  After all that we had accomplished, I concluded some retail therapy was in order and food...and in that order.
Day two and three were much the same, and by Friday at 3pm we were too pooped to go another step! Once again, back to The Ritz to prepare for the charming wedding of two friends.  They are in the classic car business and had the event in their showroom space.  It was very well done and suited them perfectly!  A grand time was had by all.  The photo is at the end of the post.

Saturday day was "play day".  DT does not do that very well so I took advantage of this downtime to catch up with friends...old and new.  Lunch with the always fabulous and super friendly Jennifer Boles ( of Peak of Chic fame) and my dear friend Angela Patrick...the Diva of ADAC!  Saturday evening we met (at long last) two of the great talent working in the South and very "of the moment"...architect Bill Ingram and landscape architect John Howard.  I have a very good feeling I made two new friends for life.
Then the arduous journey back to Raleigh and the real world.  It assaulted me Monday morning and keeps on coming.

Road trip anyone?

As always...xx.DT
