new opportunities

"He who refuses to embrace a unique opportunity loses the prize as surely as if he had failed.” William James

In a few days you will have the opportunity to own a piece of living history...that's right...homes are living history. The Historic Oakwood neighborhood in downtown Raleigh has for the most part been restored back to it's original 19th century glory. Victorian homes of various sizes line the shady streets, painted up like the fancy ladies that used to occupy them. DT&CO. is offering the chance to purchase and restore one of the few remaining homes available. A unique opportunity to own 504 North Person St.

The John Cox Winder House was built in 1874, and was among the first homes built in Historic Oakwood. The main part of the house features the graceful bracketed eaves typical of the Italianate style of architecture so popular during the 1870s.

We will be conducting hard hat tours of this fine home this spring, as the home was converted into a boarding house and has not been converted back to a single family home.

Until tomorrow friends.
