The powder room...aka the jewel box of the house.

I have always thought the "powder room" should be the surprise...the jewel of the home.  It is the one room where you can go outside your comfort zone and indulge in your decorating fantasies!  This room should make a statement.  After all, you don't spend alot of time in there and neither do your guests.  If they do you might want to call 911!
