It's For Charity Y'all!
This week DT and Joey will be doing the "ladies who lunch for charity" circuit, complete with our "fantasy" tablescape for the event. I was asked to do this why? I don't have a clue. Why did I agree? First, I get to see alot of gals that I have not seen in years, including the speaker and "major draw" Frances Schultz. Second, it is for charity. Third, Janey Ferguson asked me to do it...a command performance!
As per my usual, I am going very old school with antique Limoges luncheon plates, antique Minton (Indian Tree) fruit bowls and bread plates, Great Aunt Ruby's crystal, bamboo handled flatware (in gold), loads of pink and green, funky gold reverse painted chargers (found at the mall), lots of flowers, a touch of leopard, and a few surprises that only Frances will appreciate! I have absolutely no idea how this is going to look on a 60" round table, as I am doing a table for two! We will surely take plenty of "filler".
Be sure to check your Instragram, Facebook, and Tumblr feeds on Wednesday before lunch. We set up on Tuesday afternoon, but we may just keep it on the DL until showtime. We don't want to spoil the surprise for Frances!
As always...xx.DT
