Many years ago as a student at FIT a very strange and exotic girl gave me a copy of The Little Prince. As an 18 year old fresh off the farm, I had never been exposed to such! The Cat in The Hat was about as adventurous as it got around our house...and we were considered progressive!
I have re-read this slim volume many times through my life often wondering what became of the exotic Valarie. Who knows, perhaps she summoned a flock of birds to convey her to other planets. I do know she was instrumental in changing my world view without ever knowing.
