real estate has gone to the dogs

"My dog is worried about the economy because Alpo is up to 99 cents a can. That's almost $7.00 in dog money". ~Joe Weinstein

Even Rosie, My precious peke knows that times are tight. Her "spa" days have been cut from once a week to once a month....that is once a year in dog world. The last time she was there she even figured her own tab...see photo above!

How does this relate to real estate you ask (this is a blog about real estate). The expense of owning a home starts before you ever get to the closing table and continues as long as you own it. Maintaining a house is not cheap....everyone wants to be paid. Even if you are a good DIY sort of person, supplies add up. Insurance, furnishings, lawn care, all add up to alot of cash.

The moral of the story is this: be prepared before you buy, and remember the bigger the house and the older the house the greater the expense down the road. This is why you must have a trusted advisor who actually listens to you, asks the right questions about how you live, and can lead you to the perfect home that fits your lifestyle and budget. That is what we do every day at DT&CO. Listen...learn...advise based on knowledge.

FYI...new sod in my yard last week...$$$! Rain please!

Until tomorrow faithful readers.
