Gatsby's starter house

As Scott and Zelda were jumping into the fountain in front of the Plaza, someone in the sleepy Southern town of Raleigh was building a bungalow.

What an exciting time! This little house was built in the newest neighborhood(Mordecai Place), on what used to be a huge old farm just outside of town. Futhermore, it was built all in brick...unlike the old Victorians down the road in Oakwood.

Just enough space for a small family, this house had all the latest conveniences...an icebox and indoor kitchen...indoor pumbing even!

It's now 91 years later, and this little bungalow is looking for a new owner. So grab a glass of wine and a copy of "The Great Gatsby", settle into an easy chair by the fireplace, and relax. You could be the next person to call this home.

Honor the past, respect the present and welcome the future...xx/DT
