Take a seat...by the window
I am beginning to see window seats in many new homes that I show! Once regarded as a charming throwback detail from days gone by, the window seat is being incorporated into interiors both contemporary and traditional. Kitchens, hallways, den/study, and even bathrooms are now candidates for the window seat.
Any window has the potential for one with the addition of built-ins on either side. Upstairs dormers are perfect (and expected) places for one, and that boxed bay in the kitchen is literally screaming for one!
The next time you do a redo think about incorporating a window seat. It may become your favorite spot to sit with a book or magazine, and your cat or pup will surely make it their own!
