Dog People

Some of us are just dog people.  We don't have anything against cat people (or dog and cat people).  Dog people and cat people can be almost political in their particular preference of fur babies, one often very "anti" the other.  In the end, they are all our precious pets and it is our duty to care and love them at all cost.

At our house we are dog people.  Years ago (when I combined households with da hubby) we were up to 3 dogs.  Now we are down to just one Peke (Rosie)...but we often talk about "having more children".  The big questions are:  how will Rosie accept not being an only child, what size and breed would be the best fit, one or two puppies at once,  and lastly rescue or not.  I know that the PC thing to do is adopt a rescue, but we have to consider Rosie and how a rescue would blend with an older pet.  Hmmm?

Dog or cat, our pets add so much joy to our household (even if all they do is sleep all day).  I cannot imagine living in a house without at least one Pekingese.  Over the past 29 years I have only been without one about 6 months!

Statistics show that those of use with furry pets actually are healthier and live longer.  We have to...so we can take the dog out!'

Many precious pets can no longer be cared for by their owners for many reasons, so please give generously to a shelter, SPCA, or rescue organization of your choice.
