Mary and Miles
If I were to lose my sight (God forbid) and had to hire a decorator to do up the house, it would have to be Mary McDonald of Million Dollar Decorator fame or Miles Redd, the NYC decorator to the rich and famous. Not being rich or famous, either of these choices could be a problem unless they took pity on a poor sighted fan!
Many of you are familiar with Mary's work via the Bravo show, but Miles may be a bit more elusive to the general public. Both are a bit eccentric in their taste but firmly grounded in classic design, but with a twist. I share their love of chinoiserie, wonderful window treatments, comfortable classic room arrangements, a touch of leopard, gilding and a bit of black here and there.
