The Classic Lady 2012
We have all seen them, known them, or had one for a mother...like me...and you ATP! They were always perfectly manicured, every hair perfect, and never went out in public without the correct makeup and jewelry (real of course). Handbags and shoes didn't have to match, but if they did it was done correctly.
A classic lady of a certain age never wears her hair too long, never has long flashy nails, never wears too much fragrance, never wears a shirt over two fingers above the knee, always says please and thank you to everyone, but does not tolerate rude or snarky behavior from anyone. Unfortunately, they are a dying breed. Who can young ladies learn from these days?
With super moms multitasking and driving SUV's in yoga pants,tanks tops and ponytails (no judgement) there is little time to teach young people the ways of being a proper young lady. Call me old fashioned, but I miss seeing women look, act, speak, and conduct themselves as ladies. You can still be a powerful business person and be a lady (or a gentleman, but that is another post). Please do not mistake my comments as an insult or a longing for things of the past never to return. The title says 2012...a modern lady is not a throwback!
So ladies, treat yourself and take the time to be your best self. You will be surprised at the results!
