Hello to New Traditions!

After spending countless hours shopping and preparing the holiday meal we call Thanksgiving, I had a "lightbulb" moment.  It's time for me and my little family (David) to begin our own traditions.  This will no longer include a wrestling match with a 20 pound turkey, hours of preparing casseroles and sides to suit each person's particular favorite, constant calling family and wondering who is going to show up, and who is feuding with who over what.  Nope....DT is done.

Next year we will be spending the Thanksgiving weekend in Manhattan.  The only turkey in sight may be in the Macy's day parade.  David loves good Italian and I love Asian fusion, so I am sure we will find several spots for an unorthodox meal to celebrate the day.

So I say GOODBYE corn pudding, gravy, dressing, and all the fixings.  We will be heading North wrapped in peace and cashmere!  After all....that is where we are legally married!

As always....xx.DT

  2. Hope you had enough cocktails to put on a happy face. Been there and never did it again for all those reasons! The food was lucious with fresh turkey, Bird of Paradise centerpiece chosen to impress the mother-in-law, and beautiful table with the finest. The only memory they ever spoke of to the "end" was my exhausted intoxication.
